Project PAW
A no-kill cat shelter that is entirely volunteer operated. Volunteers feed and groom the cats, clean the shelter, and do laundry.
Volunteer shifts run from 7:30 - 11:30 am on Monday-Saturday.

Binghamton University Nature Preserve
A 182-acre area of undeveloped land on the university’s campus. The preserve contains many hiking trails, 20 acres of wetlands, and over 200 species of birds, as well as many native mammals, amphibians, and reptiles.
Volunteers work outdoors once a week for about two hours on odd jobs, such as trail and bird box maintenance and scouting trails and wildlife. There are also opportunities to become a Nature Preserve tour guide. .

Broome County Humane Society
A non-profit shelter and rescue organization that seeks to end animal cruelty and find homes for animals. Volunteers clean and spend time with cats and dogs, walk dogs, and/or perform general cleaning and repair tasks.
Volunteer hours run from 12-5 pm on Tuesday-Friday and 11 am - 4 pm on Saturday.
